Do Not Execute Marcus Reymond Robinson!
Jan. 26, 2007, NC
On July 21, 1991, Marcus Reymond Robinson and Roderick Williams kidnapped Eric Tornblom and forced him to drive to another location where he was shot with a sawed off shotgun.
The state of North Carolina should not execute Marcus Reymond Robinson for his role in this crime.Executing Robinson would violate the right to life, as proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and would constitute the ultimate cruel, inhuman, and degrading punishment.Robinson was only 18 years old at the time of this crime and had a history of child abuse and behavioral problems.Furthermore, the appellate court, while upholding his sentence, had dissention on a jury issue involving the reading of the Bible during deliberation.Williams did not receive a death sentence for his role in this crime.
Marcus Robinson’s mother still lives in North Carolina, and his brother was killed last year.
Please write to Gov. Mike Easley on behalf of Marcus Reymond Robinson!
