September 02, 2010 Subject: I wish to appeal to you on behalf of DAROYCE MOSLEY who is due to be executed on August 28, 2007. My sympathies go out to the family and loved ones of Patricia and Duane Colter, Alvin Waller and Luva Congleton, and I agree this was a very tragic event that cannot go unpunished. However, the death penalty—which only serves to create more victims and perpetuate a cycle of violence—is not the right punishment for DAROYCE MOSLEY. Furthermore, DAROYCE MOSELY maintains his innocence. He signed a confession after hours of interrogation without a lawyear present. Also, his uncle, a codefendant in the case, testified against him and was sentenced to life in prison while Mosely was sentenced to death. Several people have come forth stating that Mosley's uncle bragged to them about commiting the crime. Executing DAROYCE MOSLEY would violate the right to life as proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and constitute the ultimate cruel, inhuman, and degrading punishment.
