A Congressional Briefing on Codex was scheduled to take place on September 20, 2005. That briefing was turned into a non-Codex Briefing! It is crucial that Congress, which can overturn DSHEA and leave us defenseless against "HARMonization" with Codex's deadly Vitamin and Mineral Guideline, hears about Codex and hears about it soon

It is imperitive that you write to your Congressional Delegation telling them that you urge them, as a constitutent, to arrange for and attend a Congressional Briefing on Codex which is a monumental threat to our lives and health, and consequently, to the American economy, as soon as possible. Tell them that we, the voters who put them in office, will be watching carefully to see how well they defend our health and health freedom.

Please send a letter to Congress urging the members of your Congressional Delegation to arrange and hold a Congressional Briefing on Codex.

Dear Congressman,
I am writing at the suggestion of the Natural Solutions Foundation, www.HealthFreedomUSA.org,  to urge you to arrange a Congressional Briefing on Codex Alimentarius, a UN Trade Commission.  Many of the actions before Congress around DSHEA are, in reality, methods to clear the path for "HARMonization" with Codex's restrictive and pro-illness, corporate-friendly provisions.  Codex Alimentarius represents a major threat to the national economy by supporting and mandating the international trade of adulterated food well below US standards and prhibition the international trade of clinically effective high dose nutrients.  Increased, preventable human suffering is the result and the strain on the economy as these needlessly ill people need to be treated with pharmaceutical and other conventional medical treatments (since Codex makes clinically effective nutrients and supplements unavailable) will be the result.

Codex presents itself as "Consumer Protection" when in reality it is "Corporate Protection" leading to a degraded food supply with toxins and adulterants which the American people do not want.  For example, Codex allows 7 of the 9 deadliest pesticides (banned by the US and the Stockholm Convention) to be used on foods.  Further, all high potency vitamins and minerals, protected under DSHEA, would, under harmonization, be lost with or without prescriptions.

This adulteration of the food supply would bring about huge amounts of preventable disease and death, as documented by both the World Health Organization and the Food and Agricultural Organization.

I urge you to arrange for a Codex Alimentarius briefing and have experts like Rima E. Laibow, MD present non-corporate, health focused information to Congress on this crucial matter.  I also urge you to vote on all bills (including those that threaten to undermine or overturn DSHEA or limit access to nutrients) in such a way as to protect my health and health freedom and your own.
