Welcome!

The Campaign for Environmental Literacy advocates for increased federal funding for an increasingly vital yet ignored subject: environmental education. CEL provides a collective voice in Washington for the broad environmental education community (including ocean, conservation and sustainability education) and its supporters in business, health, and other fields. Founded in 2005, we helped restore over $30 million in funding cuts for environmental education during our first two years. Our 2007 campaigns are well underway:

Your voice plays a critical role in our shared success, so please be sure to visit our Action Center where you can speak up and be counted! You can also send a letter to the editor to your local newspaper supporting environmental education. And, if you represent a business or organization that supports environmental literacy, please see our Partner's Page to learn more about ways we can help you make your voice heard.

Help Restore EE Funding!

Let your Senators and Congressman know you support NOAA's Environmental Literacy program and that it should be funded at $12 million.
