Worship to Overcome Poverty

People of faith around the country and world are including anti-poverty worship materials during regularly scheduled worship services between now and Sunday, September 11th to pray, educate, and empower fellow citizens to call on our government to make real commitments respond to the "silent tsunami" of 30,000 child preventable deaths every day due to extreme poverty. We need your help!

Why now?

From September 14-16, world leaders will converge at the United Nations to focus on a commitment made in 2000 to cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015. These and other goals, called the "Millinneum Development Goals," (MDG's) were benchmarks set by over 160 nations worldwide. For more information on the MDG's, click here.
