Why now?

From September 14-16, world leaders will converge at the United Nations to focus on a commitment made in 2000 to cut extreme global poverty by half by 2015. These and other goals, calles the "Millinneum Development Goals," (MDG's) were benchmarks set by over 160 nations worldwide. For more information on the MDG's, click here.
