A vote is expected in the House of Representatives today! Tell your representative to say no to CAFTA.

A vote on CAFTA has been tentatively scheduled for a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives for today, Wednesday, July 27th. Every single vote will count: this agreement will be decided by just a handful of votes.

It is due to your phone calls, faxes, emails, and letters to Members of Congress, as well as your letters to the editors, that CAFTA supporters have been unable to pass the agreement. This is a victory in and of itself and is a testament to the commitment of people throughout the U.S. and Central America who have reflected, evaluated, and conducted education on CAFTA.

Please take time to fax a note to your member of Congress today and thank him or her for taking a strong stance against CAFTA or remind hm or her of the harmful impacts of CAFTA. Our members need to hear the values of people of faith, and those who walk with the people of El Salvador before they make a decision on how to vote. Another trade agreement is possible.
